FAQ:

Where does the money raised from a our poetry contest go?

Chocolate River Association will have a publication (chapbook) for their 1st International Poetry Festival. The publication will include poetry contest winning submissions and a list of honorary mentions. Cover artist is Helen Bar-Lev from Israel.

The cost of production factor’s in, as well as a fund raising venture where a portion would be towards further poetic activities such as the following year’s festival etc.

Poetry Contest Awards are as follows:

ie: 1st prize $100, 2nd $50, and 3rd $25

(with the stated understanding if not enough entries received, prize monies will be adjusted according, $5/poem ~ 3 poems for $10, 100 poems needed to be submitted, something along those lines, so in theory, anyway from $330 - $500 would be generated, at a minimum, $175 for prize amounts, the rest for fund raising, publication, website hosting, postal box, etc…)
