Ljerka will be talking 

 about  the creation of poems from her life experiences

stressing a passion for poetry and the impulse to write as well;

about how to express our personal truth and creativity through poems; 

  about the need for writing poems in our lives and the pleasure it brings; etc.

Poetry will be seen both as a craft and an art.

Participants will be given lists of recommended books and other handouts for free.

Ljerka Susanna Lukic (B.A., M.A., Ph.D. candidate) folklorist, storyteller, artist, writer and milliner has three nationalities: Bosnian-Herzegovinian, Croatian and Canadian. Author of “Dream-Vision” (poems), “Marital Understanding & Great Love” (satire), and “Conference notes” (short stories). Her writing has been translated into seven languages.  She has been living in Toronto since 1995 and teaching ESL, LINC, TOEFL, Academic Reading & Writing, Creative Writing, etc. Performs worldwide.
